Happy Thanksgiving! Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away! We want to let everyone know that we will be open regular hours every day except Thanksgiving. Your Care will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our team can spend the day wit h their loved ones. If you know you are going to be needing care, a DOT physical, etc., please be sure to come in by Wednesday and know we will be back everyday starting on Friday. Thank you and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Your Care is going to have a tree in the annual Hospice fundraising event, Festival of Trees. We are very excited and we sure could use some help with input and ideas of where to find supplies. Our tree is called: Sled to Your Health.... And there will be something about "Sled on over to Your Care"... We are brainstorming about snowman ornaments, snow ideas, sled ornaments and fun and outrageous topper - would love to come up with a family of snow...people... getting ready to sled down the tree... I already have real sleds that will go with the tree and we are working on a back pack for picnics along with a side of hot cocoa. We are excited about helping and this is a fun project. Here are some great Halloween Safety Tips from the  American Academy of Pediatrics! Our team at Your Care, central Oregon's (located in Redmond) walk-in, urgent care, follow-up and occupational medicine clinic, wishes you and your family a fun and and safe Halloween! ALL DRESSED UP *Plan costumes that are bring and reflective. *Add reflective tape to costumes, bags, etc. *Use flame resistant costumes. *Make sure they are not carrying sharp objects. *Have everyone carry flashlights. *Do not use decorative contact lenses without an eye exam and prescription. *Teach children how to call 9-1-1 (or local emergency number) if they have an emergency or become lost. Dr. Koning was on our team of providers when we opened Your Care March 1, 2013 and retired from "regular medicine" on   December 31st. He has now committed his professional life to saving the lives of babies and children with Hydrocephalus in Ethiopia. His story is inspiring and his passion, contagious.
