Here are some great Halloween Safety Tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics! Our team at Your Care, central Oregon's (located in Redmond) walk-in, urgent care, follow-up and occupational medicine clinic, wishes you and your family a fun and and safe Halloween! ALL DRESSED UP *Plan costumes that are bring and reflective. *Add reflective tape to costumes, bags, etc. *Use flame resistant costumes. *Make sure they are not carrying sharp objects. *Have everyone carry flashlights. *Do not use decorative contact lenses without an eye exam and prescription. *Teach children how to call 9-1-1 (or local emergency number) if they have an emergency or become lost. CARVING A NITCH *Have small children use markers instead of carving their pumpkin. *Consider using a battery operated light or glow stick instead of a candle. *Candlelit pumpkins should be on a sturdy table away from flammable objects.
